Sri Sannathi Vinayagar Temple

Vinayagar is one of the best known and loved deities in the Hindu pantheon of gods, and indeed is the most recognised outside of India.

Lord Vinayagar is named in 16 types based on his various forms out which this god facing the east cost near Bay of Bengal it has been named as Bhuvaneshar Ganapathy, now called as Sri Sannathi Vinayagar.

Sri Sannathi Vinayagar Temple with the God Vinayagar with elephant head. This is the ancient form of Vinayagar. In this temple devotees are doing Thila Tharpana ritual which is the Hindu ritual of Pithur Karmas.

Sri Sannathi Vinayagar is the Lord of Good Fortune who provides prosperity, fortune and success.  He is the Lord of Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles of both material and spiritual kinds.  Interestingly, he also places obstacles in the path of those who need to be checked.
