Sri Angalamman Temple

Sri Angalamman Temple is placed close to Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple,Thirunallar at Karaikal District, Puducherry.

Goddess Lord Parvathi the wife of Lord Shiva took birth on her as hive. The pupose of the birth is to clear Lord Shiva from cetain sin and give blessings to all people in kaliyug.

Lord parvathy only created Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheswaran and Sadhasivan for creation, Maintenance, distination, hiding and blessing.

The Special Poojas are performed on Tuesdays and Fridays in the month of Aadi (July-August) with abisheksof all fragrant materials. Navarathri in September-October is grandly celevrated with special Alankaras to Lord Amman.

Many devotees visit here every new moon and full moon days since it is supposed to be auspicious during these days.
